Office Panels

The other day I was given a few office panels.

Two are 24x24x2 and Four are 36x36x2 thick. Not sure what material they're made form, but they look very similar to this:

Just wondering if I can use them as acoustic panels?

I'm definetly no expert in this field but I put four of those cubical walls in my sound booth and you could hear an immediate difference..... Now, obviously it's not going to block low frequencies from coming in but inside the booth itself it made it incredibly dead...which is a good thing and can be a bad thing..... Granted I already had some auralex foam in there when I put the panes in but there was a very noticeable difference....
YMMV (<-------- I always wanted to write that )

Those are cubicle partitions... I doubt there is much absorption capabilities with them, but you may be able to modify them to work as gobos.

I may on occasion talk about some of the products I am a dealer for in my posts.. and that's OK! I sell them because I like them. Not vice versa. It's more fun to talk about things you know and love, then things you don't.

Yep.. I only have the internal panels. They did not come with the metal tracks. Seen on the website. The metal tracks where damaged so the company was getting rid of them. Under the panel's fabic it looks like three boards layered and clued together.

Cool, thanks.. I plan to use them in the control room. The control room does not have acoustic treatment.

What are gobos? I plan to change the fabic and maybe get an installtion kit.

Is there more I can do to modify their performance? Or is fiberglass boards the best choice?
