Yes, but just as a sound module. Only one midi note per sound which kinda sucks for programming hi hats, but it sounds great so it's worth it.

$4k for an 808.
I mean I understand how rare that piece is, but jeeezus man.
Stick rack ears on an original 808 & call it a day.

There was another company that used to rack up 808's, back in the early 90's.
Forgot the name...

That's a Studio Electronics Piece. I believe they were racking an adding Midi to TR 808's, Prophet 5's and Minimoog (Midi Moog) in late 80's early 90's before they started making the SE1, ATC and Omega series.

My partner bought ours on ebay less than a year ago for well under 2K. It's the same as the one they want 4K for. And by the way that is the Studio Electronics model.

The one on Ebay is the Studio Electronics Version, " The Harvey 808".

Last one sold on eBay for $1600-1800 a coupla months ago. Seller says he hasn't seen one on eBay in the past 9 years. Where, in the Home & Garden section?

I was just wondering about it, is it a real 808 racked? Or did studio electronics make their own version of the 808?

I'm well aware that it's overpriced and not worth it, haha! Shoot for 4K I got my 60 fully expanded, my SP1200, my fully expanded S950, my Emax, my RME Fireface 800, my Sure SM7B, and two Groove Tube Bricks....basically my whole studio minus my MacBook Pro and cables

haha
