yeah, this track is hot!
but i think kanye is weak compared to the other mc´s....he doesn´t really fit in this collabo.
btw if you haven´t seen it, dj premier talks about working with pro tools now in the newest digizine issue.

Honestly I don't think it's all that great..

I think it's a definate sign of the fall of our industry because it's refreshing to merely see guys RAPPING again even though the verses weren't amazing..

That's messed up.

I thought Nas/Kanye were so so.

I liked Rakim and I liked KRS even more. I've heard this song some time ago. The order of the verses used to be different. I think they probably felt Rakim/KRS were the best so they made them first/last.

I'd love to buy an album from KRS/RAKIM duets. NOW THAT would be worth $20 at a mom and pop store

I f*ckin love it. It's like that first breath of fresh air you take after coming out of a burning house. Maybe not classic by classic standards but definitely classic by today's standards. Besides, when was the last time you seen great MCs come together like that?

Love it.

Here's a question to ponder. These MC's give the newer generation hell for being materialistic in songs. BUT

It took a NIKE promo for them to make a song together

Again, I say they should not be allowed to complain about hip hop's current state.

Do you know of any distributor that wouldn't release an album of NAS/Kanye?KRS/RAKIM with Primo tracks?

I'm sure with my limited connects I could get that record worked, and each of them no doubt has better connections than I do. BUT where's the record?

Man it's all BS it's as fake as BET being white owned black entertainment TV.

NOBODY stops these guys from making more of this or making this sooner than now.

But they've come together not for the sake of "nation building" or "showin real hip hop", but instead because NIKE has a check

This is a promotion, so how does it help speak to the disproportionate purchase of NIKE by black and latino communities?

IT doesn't. IT says " Hey they have a check for me"
Fukk em.

I would rather hear NELLY saying "I neeed 2 paaair"

i don't get people.
the industry always has been ****ed up since day one.
why is it a problem all of a sudden?

just listen to like the first generation mc's, all they were talking about is money, drugs, getting the fly ladies and how they could rock a party like no other.
nothing has changed realy, just more money involved.

I could care less about the story behind the great music. As a consumer, the music is where my commitment lie. The same with Andre 3000, many used to say how weird he dressed and even questioned his sexuality....I could give a f*ck less how the artist looks and what he does on his own time. If the music is great, there ya go.
