Newbie asking about Bus and Aux.

Hi guys, Ive been reading from manuals and on the net.
But i couldnt get the concept of bus and aux.
What are those?Whats the difference? When can I use it

1st I tought i could group all my drumkits and send it to bus 1 that contains reverb,
logicly to put in a same room, I did that, but I dont know how to control it.
Does it mean now I have dry signal strait to master and reverbed signal thru bus?

Can someone explain please?
thank you.

Bussing is the action of grouping the output of specific tracks to run them together. Aux is the splitting off of the signal via an aux section, to run that send signal through a process: verb, delay, comp, etc. and mix it back into the channel or bus selected. Multiple channels or busses can be mixed together through the aux. Inserts are the same princible as the aux but are individually channel or bus specific. If you have a mixing board, all of the above should be present.

Bus is just what it sounds like ... a bus. A means to transport different things from one location to another, like a school bus. In this case the things are different audio signals instead of children.

An aux can also be considered a bus, it depends on what you're using it for. But typically it's used like the previous poster stated.
