Just spreading the word. Let me see if I can grab the designer and have him come over and pale with us on his achievements.

I just D/L the LA2A emu and installed via FXpansion VST-RTAS wrapper.

I only played with it for 5 minutes, but here are a few things I noticed:

1) It certainly has some character. Even with no gain reduction, it imparts a roundness to the signal. Whether this is good or not is up to you.

2) Whats odd, is when I turn up the Peak Reduction, the volume more or less stays the same. This suggests that it has an auto-makeup thing going on, although this isn't specified. Not a big deal, but not what I was expecting...

Well, thats it for now. I'll try and post a vocal clip later tonight.

yea with out a doubt it has quite a bit of character. but simply putting the uad-1 la2a on a channel is does sound rounder too.. but this thing is packing a lot of character.

i'm only been playing around with them for a few minutes myself and i like the some of them but they are cpu hogs for real.
i like the purple eq quite a bit. got a great sound with ease
i also like the analoger... quite a bit of color and tone with that plugin too...
i can see myself using them more often

I just downloaded them last night and had a few minutes to slap the LA2A on an Ibanez electric bass I played off an akai sampler. I don't have a real one handy to compare, but I don't like to compare how accurate something emulates something else 'cause I think it's a load of crap honestly. All I can say is that I was very impressed and that plug will stay on that track :)

i think it's a load of crap to use a popular brand/gear name on something that doesn't emulate it properly. why in the first place use the name.

get bootcamp if you on intel and enjoy the best of both worlds. The analoger is my fave. The la and the other plugs have been updated. And you guys are welcome.

la2me2 really compresses so smoothly.... never tried an original LA2A2, curious about how precisely this plug-in emulates it.

A little (midi) jazz with the LA-2 plug on the bass and on the mix buss. Not bad for a free plug.
