Welcome to GS! I love Boston. I want to go back!!!! Thanks for posting (my comment below has nothing to do with you, but that Roland now sucks, and doesn't put out jack that's cool) From the link, The MV-8800 doesn’t appear to have any new, ground-breaking features like the Roland V-Synth GT, but it will come with new effects and loaded with quality samples. It sounds like a real loser to me. Did they take some engineers from Apple's logic team to just put a new coat of paint on the same old thing? Ohhh a few new effects? That's what a pro studio needs.... A faster hard drive??? (who needs a fast hard drive in a sampler like that?). And a color screen? Get real. I guess if you were going to get one anyway, and it was the same price... sure, but otherwise?
