Suzanne Vega--Nine Objects of Desire

This is one of my favorite albums from a production point of view.

The production and arrangements complement the songs, and add a pop focus very different from the rest of the Vega catalog. The arrangements feature some odd instruments and feels, but work well.

Do you have any thoughts you could share on the recording techniques or process of recording? I recognize the Sansamp trick on the vocal of Casual Match, but for the most part the recording/engineering is unobtrusive. But the result is great.

This is one of my favorite albums, and a pick for one of the most under-appreciated ever.
