Hello Tchad, when producing albums, how much time do you spend on preproduction? Do you generally 'live' with the band for a while, or do you prefer subtle guidance of the band? How much do you want to be involved in (checking) lyrics, musical arrangements, vocal coaching etc., tempos, song keys etc? Thx. Doug |

I don't do preproduction. When I've tried, it all changed once we got into the studio. There's arguments that say if it changes in the studio you wouldn't have got there if it weren't for the PP. OK. The studio is where I have my ideas. That's just me and it's not for everybody.
