Crowded house Time on earth

Hi Tchad! Greetings from Spain! Are you involved in lastest Crowded house record? If so, is it all in the box? I always thought the Finns are huge fans of vintage sound (tape, neve consoles....)

Greetings and thanks for being here!!!

I just mixed eight songs and don't know how they were recorded.
Came to me as PT files.
All mixed ITB at Mongrel.

Did you happen to mix the album opener "Nobody Wants To" or the first single "Don't Stop Now"?

I know the album was recorded at Roundhead in Auckland, Real World in Bath, and RAK in London. Ethan Johns produced the record originally as a Neil Finn solo album (albeit with Nick Seymour on bass). When the decision was made to reform Crowded House, they went to RAK with Steve Lillywhite and cut four more tracks.

Looking at my record collection, your name is on so many of my favorite records. At one point I was buying records simply because you and Mitchell were involved - I figured, "Even if I don't like the songs, at least it'll sound cool." Like a Tchad Blake seal of quality!

Thanks again for sharing your time with us.

That's funny, THX.

'Nobody Wants To' yes, 'Don't Stop Now' is a Lillywhite mix.

I asked specifically about "Nobody Wants To" because it was played yesterday on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic yesterday. I was listening to the streaming audio and it sounded gorgeous and lush, even over crummy computer speakers. Kudos!

I meant to ask - on the songs you mixed, did they come to you complete, or were any parts added at Mongrel?
