Working with mixers

Hey there!

I guess you rarely mix the songs you record.
How do you feel about other people mixing your stuff?

Do you often disagree with the finished results?

Do mixers sometimes impress you?

Thanks for doing this!

Regards from Norway!

That used to be the case but for many years now I mix what I record.
When it did happen it usually wasn't a problem. I mean, I wanted to be able to mix but if it was sent to Clearmountain what do you do? He's awesome, the worst that could happen is that I'd learn something.
There have been times I disagree with other mixers results but ultimatley it's the artist's decision. Right or wrong.
Plenty of mixers impress me. I've never thought of myself as very good, still trying to learn how to make records every day. I figured out some sounds for myself because I'm a contrary cus, and that's cool, but it's not for everybody.
