any more document series recordings to come?

Hi Tchad,

Just a quick question. I've been listening a lot over the last year to the document:zimbabwe cd, its a really great collage and has been very inspiring in my approach to capturing places, rather than individual sounds and to work with the inherent qualities of whatever space you are in.

Anyway I read in an old interview that Peter Gabriel had given you your own document "imprint" to release more of these types of cd's. To date I have only found the Zimbabwe cd. Are there anymore on the way?

I have also been listening to the Pa Bobo and the Sardinian one (forgot his name)...both highly enjoyable.

Also love the photographs in the sleeve on document:zimbabwe.

Cheers

Iwan

THX Iwan,
No more in the pipeline I'm afraid. Budget cuts. I'd love to do more but it's not cheap and the industry is wary. Very small market for that sort of specialised recording.
After my next multi platinum zillion selling album I'll retire to doing just that.

Ha Ha...me too!

Its a pity you can't just sell them direct, hell i'd be interested in just a cassete dub of some your field recordings.

Excellent. I'll trade you some "west wales by night binaural recordings" for your african expeditons tapes!
