Mr Tchad,

Would you please talk about the Richard Thompson records you worked on with Mitchell Froom? Rumor and Sigh and Mirror Blue just kill me every time I listen to them (which is often)! Any stories, thoughts, or insights would be great.

Off the top of my head on "MGB GT" when the drums come in there's this giant compression suck on the first bass drum note, how did you achieve that?

I love those records. Can't remember what the sucking sound is. 610 or a level loc. Probably this little Remo practice kick drum we used a lot at the time. Little red thing, very cheap.
