Elam/Telefunken 251 two feet away. Vocal and GTR together forever. For isolation, put a lavalier mic in the GTR, EQ to taste. I have recorded with two Neuman 105s before. They have great side rejection but you need to EQ the vocal alot to get an acceptable sound. Too bright. I did that for the Tracy Chapman record 'Where You live' and it worked great.
