Hi Tchad

I've heard that the SM57 is one of you favorite mics.

What is it about this mic that appeals to you?

Or rather, what is it about a sound source that makes you feel that a 57 would be the perfect mic with which to capture it?

Thanks a bunch!

Jarrett

I often go for convenience and what's more convenient than a 57? I'm just not interested in spending two hours looking for the perfect mic losing a performance in the meantime. 57's have always worked well for me. I know them. Great proximity effect.
You can also use them as a hammer.
