Thread Starter | Specific hardware the plugins still can`t touch?
Are there any indispensable hardware boxes that you feel you HAVE to have in order to deliver your usual quality in a mix? Some engineers feel plugin comps still don`t get it right. Others say reverb is a problem. Thomas |

Thanks for your question. I'd say all the same stuff I've been talking about in this Q&A. I don't think plug-ins replace 'analog' compressors or eq's. The digital stuff is very different sounding to me. Manufacturers have made it similar in appearance and functionality, but sonically, not too similar. That being said, I use digital stuff everyday, but not to replace my analog stuff, to supplement it. thanks, t
