| Hey Russell!' I usually just browse Gearslutz from time to time just to keep up with the latest news on equipment, as well as aquire some extra pointers here and there. Like everyone else has already mentioned... your track record speaks for itself! Love the work you do! The time and effort that you put into engineering reflects your love for the art! So on with my question. I do everyting ITB. I'm new school I guess but I'm VERY interested in starting my outboard analog collection. I have Reason, Recycle and Pro Tools. (I recently purchased the Liquid Mix... and wow... it surpassed my expectations by a mile... plus they're releasing more compressors/ EQs next week for free!!!) Anyway, I'd like to create my music/sounds in Reason - then send it out to an analog piece of equipment, to get that warmth! In your honest professional opinion... what 3 pieces of outboard gear... including pre amps, converters, compressors, EQ etc.... would you recommend to someone, like myself, who only record and mix In The Box, but would like to send/ bus the signal out to warm the sound up as much as possible? *I did read your other posts about Pro Tools and digital recording and mixing etc. As I mentioned I am digital... so heres your chance to sway me towards the analog light at the end of the tunnel!!!! Thanx for all of your advice and taking the time out to share your insight and wisdom to other engineers! Krumbz Jerzy |

thanks for the compliments .i don't know if i could name just 3 pieces. -apogee convertors with a big ben clock would be a good start if you're staying ITB. -LA2A- the re-issues sound really good if you can't find a good vintage one. -neve eq/pre.- pretty much any model neve will give you a great sound. -pultec EQP or EQH- this will definitely fatten up your sounds. cheers
