hello,

ahmir plays his part live all the time. i'd say only about 10 to 15 percent of the time he'll loop his drums. ?uest is like a human drum machine. it may sound like he's looped because he is so tight.

i've never used sound replacer on ahmir.

i'll usually go for a fet47 and either a u87, re20 or d12 on the kick.
we go alternate with the skin on and off depending on what sound we're going for. and i don't usually get too far in the the shell on either mic.

Drum talk...

cheers
