Samson S Patch (regular version) functionality

On Samson's web it seems as the S Patch (not the plus version) also has Normalled, Half-Normalled and Through operation.
Samson Audio - S-patch
How can the unit manage this without the switches the pluss version have and whats the real difference then.

I'm really confused, anyone with a regular version (not the pluss version) who could help me clear this up. Did not receive a responce from Samson...
