| Walker, Yes there have been many instances where I have worked with unsigned artists. Esch situation is unique, sometimes it is just pre production advice to get them on their way, sometimes its actually recording, or just mixing their demos and replacing inadequte performances so that they ccan present the project to a label for consideration. You hope there is some budget their to cover your time and expenses and in the event that the artist gets signed you expect to get paid in full or get first right of refussal or participate in some form of profit sharing.
