I'll be pre-ordering this. It looks amazing.

Is there a solid release date for the dvd yet?

Just got it - it really moves well, doesn't get hung up on single topics. It mainly covers introductory topics, but as always, experienced engineers can always learn something from someone else's ideas.

I'd recommend watching it with serious speakers connected, not laptops or computer speakers as the sonics discussed are sometimes subtle and done while talking is happening. You want to hear that detail and extreme ranges of treble and bass... As the DVD is the real issue, most people will hear it on great speakers, but with the downloads, make sure to hook up to something of quality.

I have seen most of the DVD. Very informative. I agree with Brian that it moves well. Yes the audio examples are high quality, as well as the video in general.

On a side note, is that Billy Bob Thorton as the narrator???

I really enjoy his sense of humor and charm. I'm learning a lot of little things. Not quit what I expected but totally worth it.
