Surround mixing

Hi Phil.

I was wondering what (if anything) you might have mixed in surround, and how you feel about the format in general - do you think it's a good thing, a bad thing or maybe even completely indifferent to it?

I do love the idea of Quad - and the Helios desk of 1973 had 360* pan pots.
It never really caught on. I have mixed very little in Quad, surround sound or 5.1. The one I am most pleased with is Roadside Picnic - la famille 1995.
The next project Mark Hollis and I were planning to do in 1999 was to record in Quad. Unfortunately he retired.
