Your Use of Reverb in the Mix

First of all thank you so much for doing this Q&A! For my money you are one of the finest engineers to ever live. It is a great honor to have a living legend and a personal hero such as yourself here on Gearslutz. Your use of reverb is so lush and yet so natural. Would you mind sharing with us what kind of reverbs you like on particular sources and how you are using them in the mix?

I use a few different reverbs from Lexicon, TC Electronics, Bricaste, and the great live chambers at Capitol. I try to mix and match different reverbs to create space and depth in the mix. It really depends on the song and the artist, but it's something I pay careful attention to. I usually tend to use shorter reverbs on rhythm instruments, and longer ones on brass and strings, but there are no rules. AL
