Distressor users: What do you use the Brit Mode for?

I'm wondering if I should upgrade my Distressor with the Brit Mod.

I record rock music - what are cool uses for it?

Dave, what exactly is the Brit Mod? My Distressor doesn't have it. What am I missing? Does it make the Distressor MORE dangerous? I've noticed it's not as "hyper" sounding as my 1176 on snare drum. Does this mod goose the steroids?

I've heard that it's faster and more violent... what that has to do with Brits (Neve?) I'm not sure, but..

I don't have it on mine either but I'm planning to add it.

Methinks Dave's still catching 40 winks.

FYI: The Brit mode emulates the all four buttons pushed in on an 1176 - something the British are infamous for.

I know it's popular for room mic's, but what about mono sources - gtr, kick, snare, vox, etc.

Will I sound British... or what?
