Vocal recording tips advice... Hello....I am new to this forum. So go easy on me. I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on recording Nickelbacl style vocals. Tools I have to use are a Rode NT1-A and C1000 mic and ProTools Mbox. I have Waves Gold Plugin edition. What do you suggest I do to set up a solid base in PT to work with. IE: Type of effects on vox, panning technics etc. Many thanks. Scott

Check out the very first thread by Charles and read all HDL columns. Here is his vox column. Also check out 'In The Studio With Nickelback'. Cool stuff. And another thread by Charles. That should get you going. Ive also engineered a band with similar vox. Hope this helps. Shane

Find a good pre with a "suck" knob and then turn it to 11. Just kidding, dont yell at me. Mark
