| Hello Charles I'd like to have some feedback on this: I have several plugs for EQ (Waves Bundle, Focusrite, Blue Tubes, Bomb Factory) and they obviously sound different from each other; do you ever use two different EQs on the same track, I mean, there are some cases in which I need to have some surgical precision EQ (say I have to fix something, mostly cutting frequencies) and then I need to have the "sound" of the plug-in just like you wuld use an outboard processor to add color; I find myself using the Waves Q10 (or Q8 etc...) to have the "razor sharp" EQ, and then add the Waves Ren EQ or the Pultec or the Focusrite whose Qs are rather broad and I find most suitable for boosting to have the "sound", . Is this something that you could pull off with a single instance of one particular plug (say with the Waves Q10, which to me sounds a bit sterile) or is it OK as a technique? Thanx for your feedback, keep up the good work. L.G.

| I use two EQ's when necessary. Pretty much in situations like you mentioned--corrective + color. When using a single EQ I generally prefer to insert it after compression. So, what I do w/ 2 EQs is do the corrective before the compression, and do the color after. My most common usage of this is if I'm going to cut out a substantial amount of low end from the signal in the first place I'll place the HPF before the compressor to prevent it from pumping. The end result is a tighter + less flabby sounding compression. Hope this helps.

| Charles, do you use multiband compressors like the MCDSP MC2000 and Vintage Warmer? In which situations? Also, I do not seee people commenting very much the usage of the Meekqualizer and the TC Eqsat.. What is up? Thanks Nice sunday bud!
