Cool Revisiting the Crease sessions

Hi Charles, welcome back.

- Just wanted to ask you about two things I learned (and use) from your HDL/Crease sessions - parallel compressing drum subŐs with the Ren Comp, and mixing to AC1 on the 2-buss.

Do you still use these two methods (((and plugins))), or is there something else you like better these days?

Thanks.

bassmac,

Thanks for the greetings and your interest in HDL/Crease. It's a great question and one I really wanted to talk about this month. I've actually made some changes in the way I approach the stereo buss. My apologies for not answering you right away. If you don't mind waiting a bit longer I promise to answer soon and much more completely than if I threw an answer together now.

It's just I have a bit to say on this and the bigger answers take longer to compose. For me, conveying a new idea to someone else that has previously only been rolling around inside my internal monologue takes some time to develop. Once I decide to "let it out" I need to let my thoughts organize so I can present them in a way that best communicates the process. (blah, blah, blah... )

Now that I've bored you with that silliness, let me just say, thanks for your patience and when I post it I'll give it it's own thread called Stereo Buss Processing.

Thanks.
