Thread Starter | Gish Sounds Butch, firstly thank you so much for giving an insight into your techniques on some seminal albums....its very appreciated :o) i just have a couple of question about one of my all time fav albums - "Gish" as there is'nt much info at all about the recording of this killer album.... *there is a lot more reverb on gish than siamese dream but it gives a cool church ambience ...what reverbs did you use? *guitar and drum wise its a lot sharper sounding than siamese dream....was this more to do with billy (corgan) and jimmys gear at the time or a conscious production decision? *was there much vocal overdubs used and did you use the eventide harmonizer used to fatten up the lead vocals? *what is happening at the start of rhinoceros?....it sounds like monks! cool effect... Best Regards Kyle |
