| Gear maniac | Overwhelming Colorfast Hi Butch, Thanks so much for giving us your time here. I can't tell how much enjoyment I have gotten from your records as well as the questions and responses posted here. I came upon a record recently that a friend gave me in high school that I never had a chance to listen to very much at the time. It was the self-titled Overwhelming Colorfast record you produced that came out on Relativity. The liner notes state that it was tracked and mixed during August and September 1991 right before Nevermind hit. I have been listening to it a bunch recently and your presence here is great timing. It is a really cool power-pop record with some great tones and cool tunes. We all know not every record is going to be a smash and I have no doubt just as much hard work went into OWCF's record as any other you have produced. I'd love to hear about any memories and insight about those sessions and the band. Everyone always wants to hear about the hit records and huge bands but it would be cool to hear about working with an "every man" band that worked hard, toured hard, never quite hit, but I am still sure affected many people. Thanks Butch, Steven |

| I, too, loved this album! Like a slightly more pop-based Husker Du or something. Always wished I could have caught them live as I'm sure they put on a great show. I'd love to hear any memories you might have of your sessions with OC as well!

| Nice reminder. Overwhelming Colorfast were a ridiculously underrated band. "Two Words" was an especially amazing sounding album recorded by Kurt Bloch. |

| Gear maniac | Thanks so much Butch. Your memory is pretty vivid 18 years later! I am looking forward to listening critically to the album and seeing if any flams made it to the final mix. Revolver has always been my favorite Beatles record and I dig the "She Said She Said" cover. That is really cool that Bob turned you on to Green Day back then and you have had the opportunity to work together over 17 years later. Green Day were a great band even at that young age. Thanks again for all of your time here and hope to meet one day. Steven Jealousy Curve Jealousy Curve on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Videos |
