| Gear Head | butch what did you hear on your EX66 that it complements your Barefoot ?
butch some people here doesnt like the EX66 and some it does, I never hear them, but what did you hear on your EX66 that it complements your Barefoot ? are you been using them like a ns10m speakers ¨if the mix sound good here sound good everywhere¨?

To me, the EX66's have a really open top end, and good bass. They almost seem a bit scooped in the low midrange. But I can hear things on them that I can't hear on other speakers, especially at low volume. I think the Barefoots have better detail in the midrange, and the tonal and balance decisions seem to translate well. Speakers are very subjective, I like both the MM27s and the EX66s, but that doesn't mean that you will. | |

I hope I'll like the EX66s, I just picked up a brand new pair of eBay for $400 shipped. Crazy.
