hey butch what chain do you use when tracking digital gtrs pod sound

hi butch, at some point did you guys record with line 6 pod on the garbage albums? cause....many people says is too digital sound and the real amps/cabinets/mics sound better..if you guy did record some guitar parts with pods..what chain did you use to make it work? which pres,eqs or comps?

Billy B would know this. I think we do run the Pods though preamps sometimes.

I have my Pod at the home studio going through a Chandler LTG 2pre, which I love...it seems to thicken up the guitar, almost like it's going through a Neve.

Yep, it's the TG2 preamp.. There are some things you can do with the Pod that you can't do very easily in real life so we use it for some of the more effected kind of sounds. It's also very cool for crunching up synths, drums and vox. It may not sound EXACTLY like a marshall or diezel, but it certainly can be very useful.

That's interesting, I'm doing exactly the same: POD xt through a TG2... Great combo.
