Surround sound found its niche for movies. Do you ever see it becoming mainstream in music? DVD Audio and SACD multi channel formats both failed. In a day where the mainstream listens to compressed music, what is your opinion of 5.1? Would you ever consider remastering for 5.1 for any albums you produced if asked? Thanks Dan

I've never done any 5.1 mixes. I think it's great for film and TV, but I'm not sure it will ever be embraced by the mainstream as the main music format.
We got asked to do 5.1 for the 2nd Garbage album, and Billy Bush and I thought we would lose our minds if we had to go back and mix that album again!
