Yeah, on their forum they said they can run 70 on a 2.0 ghz G5. So either the core duo is a huge step back in processor or it isn't coded very well for intels.

I want to see what results others get.

I would say that it's not properly optimized for Intels... The CoreDuo chip in my Macbook Pro is killing my Dual 2.5 G5 in plugin count... So I would say it's definitely not the processors slowing down these TriTone plugins.

Yeah, I'm not too much of a fan of the Pluggo framework either, but I remember the Tritone guys mentioning that the new Pluggo runtime will integrate into the AU and VST formats much better. I haven't tried the new UB's yet, so can anyone running them under Pluggo 3.6.1 notice any improvements?

If you're thinking about running the Tritone plugins on an Intel Mac, don't look for a performance increase... Their convolution engine hasn't been optimized for Intel yet, so there is a HUGE performance hit running the plugz on an Intel Mac... But at least you can run them as a UB.

The version number on the new version of Colortone is 1.2b - that b's probably significant. I'm having a few graphics problems with it, and it's a CPU hog but otherwise it's working.

I'm just pleased to finally have a saturation faker for my Intel Mac.
