I think just TDM, just like before, if it were Audio Unit, it would have been mentioned.

I'll add it to the list at the top of the forum.

I tried Phoenix the other day at a PT HD Studio. WOW!!!! It just blew my mind, all the different color options and the way it changes the character of a signal.

Just wish a Native version would be available, hopefully AU!!!!

VST! Protect it with a dongle, I don't care. I want it.

Seems to me like you lose more sales from not porting it natively then lose from pirating. But then again Cranesong might have some backroom deal with Digidesign.

yeah, there's no excuse about it being an available cpu power issue or anything like that anymore. i'm sure there's more than enough cpu in the latest round of qualified cpus and macs to run this thing.

i'd probably buy it, but I'm not going to upgrade to HD for it. RTAS or wrappable VST would be great.

+1 for AudioUnits, I have e-mailed Cranesong many times about this.

I use pheonix all the time at several TDM studio I work at, I love the different colors of sound it can yield... I have used it on full mixes and on separate tracks and it always sounds amazing. Why TDM only? You know you can code this on whatever and it will work great!!!!

Another +1 for Audiounits.

I have Phoenix on my Protools rig, but would love to have it on my Logic Laptop too.

It's a truly superb plug.

you have to wonder if they're in this for the money. why keep things tied to a particular platform when clearly there seems to be alot of money to be made from other hosts. sony, soundtoys & chandler realised this and it's been great to get their plugs. mcdsp will also be releasing their stuff in AU eventually. interestingly TC Electronic has released an Amp Room native (though this may be a 3rd party company)
Introduction
i reckon it's just a matter of time before we start seeing plugs like this released native.

there are already some great substitutes to this though. DUY Valve is amazing at adding warmth and some dynamic compression at a dial in amount. i reckon in some ways it's even better than DUY Tape and it's cheaper! the Everpack is a bargain for what you get. i put DUY Valve on every snare drum i record to add some fatness

If I was a shrewd Digidesign exec, I would make Cranesong an offer to NEVER release the plug-in for AU/VST or anything other than TDM.

The Cranesong plug-in is, for me, one of the last remaining dangling carrots for Protools HD.

Cranesong is pretty much a one-man operation that mostly does hardware, right? I don't know that it's quite as easy as we might think to "just" port the software over to another platform...

third parties can do it for a fee which will be nothing compared to the amt of sales on a new platform, especially of a wanted plug like this one
