You NEED to try this out. It's of extreme quality and flexibility. I've really been dying to tell you guys about this little bugger.

Cheers!

Eh? No comments on the plugin? It's got both Mac and Windows version. I've not been this excited by a plugin since the sonalksis compressor. You guys really really should check it out. I know it's "just a delay" but WHAT a delay. Awesome sound quality, incredibly many ways to control it (pitch, velocity, aftertouch), full midi control of all parameters, 2 LFO's and an envelope detector. Crazy stuff. Oh, and it comes with over 100 presets..

Demo is 30 days FULLY FUNCTIONAL. No dongles, no PACE, nothing evil.

.. oh well

Cheers!

I just started started working with it. It's the best delay that I have right now. However, I haven't seen many delays for VST that do stereo tape and analog simulations. ...so far so good.

Here is a little demo of the fabfilter timeless delay. It's a simple drumloop where I flick trough some presets every few bars. First 2 or so bars is the dry drumloop (it's a mono loop).

First 50 seconds are some examples of the chorusing/room possibilities, then comes various delays, then special effects and resonators and finally some more reverbs/rooms.

Cheers!

One little last nudge to this thread. I don't think you guys understand the potential of this plugin. I know we all here on gearslutz are extremely interested in all kinds of distortion (eeh, no?) so why not give timeless a go as a overdrive/distortion effect? It's very good at that stuff.

Oh, and it's also extremely cool at doing all kinds of glitching type of things. Here is a little clip demonstrating the distortion/glitching/general special FX abilities. I simply inserted timeless on one of the tracks, set it to all wet (the main instrument loop clip) and compensated for the delay. This makes timeless a normal insert FX plugin of extreme power.

The presets that I used and tweaked can be downloaded Here.

Cheers!

Thumbs up

I gave it a knock around this week via the RTAS wrapper and it's a crazy plug.
The Superb quality is a bonus but the interface is wicked and nasty at the same time. The GUI will take a bit of getting used but will be worth the effort. It's got that "something" kinda sound that adds in a good way unlike a lot of plugs that "suck" the vibe out of the material.

Try it - you may like it!

Yes! Very good product.
Very Creative, Very Interesting, sounds great.

I would have liked some more LFO modulation possibilities. (surge style)
But everyone should hear this.
I used to dream of a delay like this and actually bought a fireworx just for that.
But the filters and distortion just kill the fireworks.

I'm buying.
A nice alternative to the echo farm.

I just picked this up last week, I absolutely love it, It could very well become my go to delay. I found it a little complicated at first (guitar guy here <g>) but after messing with it for a little while it becomes really easy to create wild and more importantly useable patches!!! I also picked up volcano from them (filter plug) which is also great.

Great delay and delay based effects. I tried it out in another studio and we both thought it surpasses the other software based delays we knew by a long shot (psp84, psp608, bionic delay). It almost sounded as good as my Eventide H8000fw.

Absolutely! One of the best things released this year in the fx world. Creative, inspiring, nice GUI, fair price, no dongles, what can you ask more?
Even if you have vintage cool stuff like the Roland RE201 (I have the UAD version), Timeless could add much more flavour and ideas to your tracks :-)

Oh, and if someone here never tried FabFilter's Volcano, I'd really suggest to do this NOW. Great filters, and by the way a great companion for Timeless. I've seen they have a bundle with these two products, so for persons who are not "FabFiltered" yet, it could be a good chance to save some money

I would heartly disagree here - besides that MD608 being a totally different delay plugin - I do not think that timeless is sounding better or is more flexible than the psp stuff or OhmBoyZ! What is really nice is the pitch bending tape simulation. The layout of the interface is good though the color scheme is not really user friendly - is not LFO now on or not???
To me the psp delays sound more neutral. Somehow the flavor of the fabfilter plugs is not really my taste ...
- but indeed - it is a fun plugin and a pleasure to use - and I think this is really the standout feature of this plug. it is plain easy to get interesting results - one could say it is the most musical delay I came across.

I think this is the best thing we could say about a music tool, isn't it?

your quotation seems rather incorrect if you ask me. There is clearly a "one could say" before what you quoted!

I would answer your question that way: the output has to be musical or fit to my musical expectations - not necessarily the way one uses it.

best

As you like it, don't want to make wars here, different opinions are always welcome.

I'm sure many people will like Timeless and by the way the 30 days evaluation it's really a plus in these days of dongles...

Told you :-)
I don't know about the Eventide stuff, unfortunately they never went the AU route (and they were also rather harsh in replying via email about that chance), but I'm glad that other software houses are releasing more and more quality stuff, like in the case of Timeless...
