Chandler Limiter EMI TG12413 Zener Limiter

The TG12413 Zener Limiter is the same limiter circuit as the TG1 with more flexibility to allow the unit to go from crush to carress. If you like the TG1, you will love this. The Zener Limiter is in the early stages of production and will begin shipping in January of 2007.

I was so impressed with this at AES that I told Wade I wanted to trade it for some Barefoot Monitors. This thing on overhead drums is sick. I give it way up!!!!!!

I gotto tell ya that this new TG comp is exactly what the doctor ordered. I have a TG1 and the idea that this thing is just a drum comp is waaay off base. It really sounds great on vocals and acoustics etc. The reason (for me) it doesn't get used everytime on those apps is because of the limited choices in attack times etc. These new features will make this a super versatile piece of kit.

Wade, make sure you save a couple for L&M in Canada - I'm putting a pre order in today!

Thanks man. Thats the idea behind it!

This looks awesome!!! But I have to ask...

Why does the updated version have the same name as the original (TG12413), whereas the version with the same settings as the original has a different name (TG1)?

Just the way it worked out I guess.....? I always thought TG12413 was a bit of a mouthful. I just call it the Zener Limiter....

Wow, amazing looking limiter!

But just one confusion...what is the difference between "Comp mode 1" and "Limiter mode"? Seems to me as they feature the same attack and release times?

Perhaps different ratios?

Cheers,

R
