It looks kinda like their channel strip and since thier channel strip was the same color as their later released 1975 compressor I might assume that Since their 1980 compressor is black and this one looks kinda like their channel strip.... maybe its an ssl style channel strip. Tell me I'm right Tony!

Well, as many people here know, we work very closely with URS and regularly run special promotions with them. But, this is something you are just going to have to wait to find out.

I hope they are not going to start recycling plugins at this point.
everyone else is coming up with NEW kick emulations of some great gear.
If this is a broken down ch strip version of the 1980 comp, i'll gag on my on spit.

Hopefully its something refreshing that we HAVE NOT SCENE from URS or other plugin makers.

I'd be good with an inexpensive, snappy sonuding channel strip ala URS. I'd prefer to see something new on the market like everyone else but I have a gut feeling we're going to see more of the (good sounding) same.

The VU meter is different from the SSL emu so lets just hope for the best whatever it turns out to be. Knowing URS they won't keep us waiting too long.

Or something like MCDSP-AC1...

Um, I think that's just the Channel Strip, which was all ready released.

It's the same thing they had on the end of their flash before the Channel Strip was released.

I'm sure they're still working on new stuff, tho, of course! But, that's most likely not the GUI for whatever it is.

That's the channel strip, which you will notice is blue and wider than this new product.

Definately my biggest wish, too! These guys know better how to code performant high end pluggies than any company else in my opinion! Some Verbs and MultiFX Units would be da bomb!!!

A URS Tape plugin would be sweet!
But then again I like the URS Compressors & Eqs, so a Hi-End Channel Strip would be a welcome.
Better yet a Hi-End Channel Strip w/Tape wouldn't hurt.

Yes, look at that. The new plug is alot smaller in width than that last released ch strip.
So we are looking a less buttons maybe....
could it be? a tape sim plug???

Aha! You're absolutely right. It does look a little different, doesn't it! My apologies, everyone! (Sorry, I'm colorblind, and I can't tell the color...)

In that case, given what it looks like on top, my guess would be it's URS's answer to McDSP's Analog Channel plugin. Given their recent direction, and the popularization of the plugin in MILAR and it's buzz on the internet, this would be a logical ($$$) decision for URS.

I say precision limiter...
Notice the dual input meter & VU for gain red. No use for such a VU for tape sim, imho...

I'm thinking SSL style channel strip...

Notice the 1970 Classic Compressor is also coloured Black, and this new mystery seems to be more or less black to my eyes. That and the fact it seems laid out just like the Current Channel Strip.

Just my 2 cents,
Scott

I don't know....

UA just released their buss comp, URS seems to always release comps. Its got to be something different. But ya I suppose these ch strips are a newish alternative to just a comp.

id like to see something different, other than a comp or ch strip. STOP recycling stuff.

I bought the last ch strip and never really use it. If I knew I would have waited for the stand alone 1975comp and bought that instead. I was bummed....
