It would nice to test but I have to buy the dongle even for the demo

Cubase Elements 7 does not require a USB-dongle for its operation.
The trial of Cubase Elements 7 is not yet available, but will be released soon.

Thanks Crohde! Does Cubase Artist 7 contain the logical editor, midi-plugins and automation, a different kind of automation or no automation at all?
