There's no link yet, but if you google it you'll find a link to it, but when you click it it routes you to the home page of the tascam website..

Later I'll try to post a pic that I found in the web..

I wonder how does compare with the korg 2000 that is now discontinued..

Any info from tascam or tascam dealer over here?

here's the link: tascam.com/product/da-3000/

if you put tascam da-3000 on google it's the first link that appears, BUT it brings you to the tascam home page (for the moment).. I guess it's not up yet..

this the google search link (or my google that is better than yours...apparently..)

Can it be daisy chained so I can use it with two other units to record a 5.1. mix?

Thanks for the links guys. Apologies.

Original tascam dva 1000 could only record at 1 bit and 2mghz

Twice the sampling rate.

Guess we'll have to wait until or if Korg releases anything similar or better.

There was talk of a system called Clarity which was /is supposed to be an 8 track machine.

Cheers

There has/is already threads under the high end section and there are some very knowledgeable people on the whole DSD thing.

Yes Korg was better than the Tascam but seems like they have just upped the game and now we are waiting for the Korg announcement
Several convertor companies like Lynx, mytek are all touting the benefits of DSD.

Even Rupert Neve has come out and talked it up, so he must know something.

Cheers

Unit does have the proper SDIF interface to use external DSD adc and dac.

Laudable.

The prior Tascam machine 1000 was also a good one but hung up in recording and playback of hi-res material.

Let's wait to see / hear more about this box.

Looks cool... nice job Tascam, way to keep your DSD implementations moving forward.

Awaiting the final details and specs, but looks promising.

I own a couple of the newer tascam products and they seem to get their stuff out pretty quick once its been to trade shows. Quicker than most others to be precise.

My guess is 1500 usd - 1999 usd.

My other guess is available june/july 2013.

Wow.

Superhot.

Definitely buying it immediately upon release.

Exactly what I wanted.

Thanks, Tascam!

Thanks for the great info.

Price is unbelievably good.

Connect 4 for stems would be cool.

Wonder if convertors are top of range.

I wonder the same.. But hey this is mere speculation here.. Need to test this unit first..
@ Plush: Let us know your findings..

I wonder what korg or other brands will do..
Btw this might be a good entry level piece in the dsd world..

Another cool thing could be to have a 24channel in 2 RU of something like this.. Sort of Joeco/hd24 but with dsd capabilities..

Did a bit of research on the convertors and yes they are top notch.

Apparently the power supply and voltage output conversion are as important as the chipset.

Tascam believe they got this right.

Looks like a super unit--when I use it I'll make a report on GS.

I'm pleased that this one came out. The old Tascam 1000 had SDIF-3 on bnc just like this one. It was also good but this makes more sense using modern record media on cards.

Having SDIF-3 is essential. Lack of it is what sunk KORG.

Please stand by. . .
