Great meters! Most useful and used of any when I need a Digital Peak Meter (which is always). Plus, the envelope generation is just too cool.

Great to see the upgrades!

To illustrate a feature that is often overlooked, here are a few screenshots of automation output capabilities. MIDI CC data can be recorded in a similar way.

A simple example of application in Pro Tools:

Software DP Meter Pro 4.01 Update

Hi,

We have just released an update for Blue Cat's DP Meter Pro. At this occasion, the introduction price period has been extended.

This new version (4.01) fixes a few issues for Mac users and brings a new default preset so that the plug-in fits into small laptop sizes when opened the first time.

The plug-in is available alone or as part of Blue Cat's Analysis Pack. The update is free for existing customers, and the new version can be downloaded from the same location as Blue Cat's DP Meter Pro 4.0.

The introduction period for new customers (16% off the plug-in and 10% off the Analysis pack) has been extended until March 15th. Demo versions can be downloaded on www.bluecataudio.com, in VST, RTAS, AAX, Audio Unit and DirectX formats (32 and 64-bit).

What's new in Blue Cat's DP Meter Pro 4.01:
- Changed default preset so that the plug-in fits into small laptop screens when opened.
- Mac-VST: Fixed window resize issues on Cubase and Nuendo (Mac).
- Mac-Audio Unit: Fixed random crashes at startup in some host applications.

Hardware

Here is some crazy stuff that you can do with Blue Cat's DP Meter Pro 4 and an external controller... Watch out, don't damage your motorized faders with too fast attacks!

And another illustration of external hardware control with "in the box" signals, using Blue Cat's Protector:

Giving you some ideas? ;-)

hi,
just wanted to let you know that this meter was preventing Audacity 2.0.3 from loading on my mac osx 10.6.8.
i believe it was the AU but i removed both AU and VST from their folders and now Audacity works fine for me.
don't know if it's the plug-in or the host but i'll let both of you know
love the meter though...works good in Reaper / Logic...
thanks,
SF

edit: it is the AU, the VST is ok...

Thanks for the heads up. Does this still happen with v4.01? A similar issue was fixed with this update on the Audio Unit.
