I´m extremely curious on this one!
Is the final version now more closely matched to the original?
I´ve heard a very ambitious youtube-comparison of the lite-version on various sources, and back then even the release settings didn´t match at all...

There has been years of continued development into this plugin. I've never seen a plugin emulation with as much time invested in matching the original as this one.
It's the first SAMPLE ACCURATE emulation of a hardware piece that I know of.

Hey Henge thanks for posting this. I don't get to Relab's user board much so I appreciate the info! I've been using the Full Beta for a couple of months and it's GREAT! My fav reverb, bar none! I'm thrilled to get the upgrade!
Great work Martin!!! |

I had been waiting for this one since, oh, forever now and it was well, well worth the wait.
ReLab have done a stellar job of this tool, and it sits so beautifully in between my UAD 224 and my Lexicon PCM Native (the PCM 96 Unit). Absolutely beautiful job, and will take those of you who knew the original right back to those days immediately and there will be a pretty steep learning curve for those who did not have the pleasure of the hardware.
Fortunately, over on the ReLab forums, one of the users has recreated the original factory presets from the manuals and has posted a link to them to get us all started.
If you already have the Lite version, at a pitiful $200 this is a steal. Okay, it's $199 but you know what I mean - it is sale of the century, it really is (check out how much the hardware will cost you for one instance).
A truly magnificent effort all round, and one we should all own.

Can I set it to "Small Church", close my eyes and pretend I have 4U of old expensive electronics in the rack behind me?

according to Casey it's not possible to emulate a lexicon reverb because the what happens on the tail of the plugin is random.
good luck with that plugin!

I've owned the Lite version since it came out. Seems like a hundred years ago! Checked briefly with Samplitude 11.2.1 and it's working well. Snappier and less sluggish feeling than the lite version as well. It will be great to have this finally in place!

good luck with that plugin! | Typically... You're repeating second hand info, and you're WRONG!
The WANDER (randomization of the Lexicon tail you refer to) parameter has been fully and successfully implemented in this plugin. ANYTHING can be emulated if you put enough time and effort into it. And, this is absolutely no exception.
Because its randomized, it won't sound exactly the same each pass... In that respect, it works exactly the same as the original unit.

And, this is absolutely no exception. | And it works very nicely as well.....I'm still learning this beast but so far, so good for sure. Also - and let's be honest about this - the original 480 was software driven, yes? So surely anything that can be written originaly in sftware can be recreated on other software, given enough time & patience getting it right (which is what I think has happened here too).
I'll freely admit that I did wonder if this day would ever come. It is, after all, a very large ask of anybody - but they got there and I am loving what I have as a result.

Nuendo 5.5.5/Cubase 7/Wavelab 7.2.1/Halion4 | That's odd as it's fine here in C7, C6.5 & Nuendo 5.5 too.
Is the license on an iLOK2?
Are the iLOK drivers up to date?

Man, I still have the same problem I have had with this plugin for over the last year - when I pull it into Nuendo 5.5, Cubase 6.5 or Cubase 7 on Mac OSX 10.7.5, the plugin comes up for a few seconds as just a blank white GUI and then proceeds to crash my DAW. Every time. I sent a crash report to Martin several months ago and never heard back, assuming the problem had been solved. No such luck.
