Software OverTone DSP releases Pultec EQH emulation

Based on the Pultec EQH program EQ, the PTH-2A provides a cost-effective feature subset of the popular OverTone PTC-2A / EQP-1 emulation, at a significantly lower price. Using the same filter technology as the PTC-2A, separate LF Boost and Attenuate controls provide the signature Pultec Low-end sounds, while a transformer-coupled tube amplifier emulaton further enhances the vintage qualities.

The PTH-2A is available for Mac OSX and Windows (32 and 64Bit)

Requires Mac OSX v.10.5 or later and an Audio Unit compatible host application or Windows XP / 7 and a VST compatible host.

Interesting,
will try it and see how it compares to PTC-2a.
I'm still not sure what to get when it comes to Pultech kind of EQ vst.
(and if it works for me).

Software

What we've tried to do is provide two different options at different price points - in the same way that the Pultec EQH provides a subset of the controls found on the full EQP-1A, e.g. fewer frequencies, and fixed bandwidth / HF attenuation frequency etc, the PTH-2A provides a subset of the controls on the PTC-2A, so if you choose the PTC-2A, it will do everything the PTH-2A will do and more, but if the features provided by the PTH-2A are adequate it represents a more cost-effective option (although both EQs are very cost-effective emulations of some classic analogue hardware)
