That looks like an SSL AWS900 (http://www.solid-state-logic.com/music/aws900.html), nothing new about that. The new version has already seen the daylight, the AWS900+.

(and not digital, but analogue)

The picture you mean? I doubt it, perhaps in the cellar of his second beach house..

As far as i know mr Gabriel owns SSL and has a customized 92 channel desk!

I think it actually is... i've seen this picture elsewhere.... it's a "secret" studio inside realwold. studio...

Not secret anymore it seems....

On the realworld website you can take a VR tour of the studios.

That is one of the "writing rooms".

Everything is fed into the main room where the large SSL you guys mentioned is...

Funny how Pete has that big, over-the-top room at his disposal, but prefers to compose in a converted basement or poolhouse.

Of coarse, you can rent out Realworld if you like, and try it yourself!

Didn´t he have those huge boxer monitors in his writing room ?
I think I heard that there was some fire damage in some rooms.

The jump from a +100 channel Oxford desk to a tiny 24 channel mini SSL is hard to believe. A C 200 would be the more logical decessor.

Could it be it´s his "keyboard" submixer ?

The writing room, which is called "writing room" afaik still has the oxford and
is the "hangar" style building at the other side of the mill pond.

The picture is from the studio room on the second floor.

The problem I had with the original post was trying to figure out the really important Italian gear manufacturer.... I bet it was Guido La Fatso???

He had two Oxford consoles. One was lost in the fire in the writing room located outside from the main studio. That shot could just be the opposite end of the same room the 2nd Oxford is in.

the board doesn't surprise me at all. it sounds real good, it's small, and he owns the company.

... what kills me are the mackies.

hahahaha, don't remind me, raal! I used to own one of those 32-8 Mackies and still remember when I first got it installed in my room when they first came out and wondering whether my ears were busted or what... hahahah
