StereoChannel/MonoChannel - Free Stereo Gain Staging/Balance VST (UPDATED 05.08.2012)

UPDATES
* Fixed MonoChannel meter scale when changing modes
* Fixed StereoChannel phase meter (for real this time!)
* Other (very) minor tweaks
* Dropped VST3 support until further notice

This VST3 issue has me a little puzzled. I pulled VST3 releases for now because I think it's better to have a stable product 'when it's ready' than to have a broken product 'now.' It is now my number one priority to get this fixed

Thanks for using MonoChannel and StereoChannel!
If any of you run into any other issues, please post them.

Thanks!
-Dustin

Changelog:
* VST3 Support (it's back!)
* Minor graphic tweaks

StereoChannel Specific:
* Phase Detection Level control added to settings page.
- This acts as a gate for the phase correlation meter.
It's useful when using plugins that generate noise that you don't want to be picked up by the phase meter(console sims, etc..)

MonoChannel Specific:
* Tilt and Loudness EQ modes have been added to the settings page

Thanks everyone! I hope you're having a great weekend!
-Dustin
These two plug-ins were developed by Dustin Ralston, a fellow REAPER user known as d.bop.

Enjoy!

Beautifully simple gui. I'm all mac these days so I can't use them but I look forward to mac versions if they ever appear.

P.S. you're gonna need more than pennies.

Thanks for these, very useful.
Would it be easy or possible to add a numerical readout / enter box on the volume? I'm using them to drive 6 busses & like to be able to set them all to exactly the same db.

Hey everybody,

I'm going through the code and squashing a couple bugs. I'll do my best to add some of the things you've suggested for the next version

Thanks again!

Have you considered combining both plugin into a single plugin which is dynamic to the type of channel it is used on?

not sure if that is viable or not, but if it is possible it would help to reduce the amount of plugin in ones plugin folder.

Hmm.. that's an interesting idea. I'll have to experiment with some things to see what I can do

Thanks!

Just a switch should do the thing , you insert it and then you choose the type of process ...

The dynamic switch is the best thing for us , not so easy for the dev (freeware )

Well they're both kind of dynamic already. If you play with the input pins in reaper or try different track types in other daw's with stereochannel, you'll see certain controls being disabled. And in monochannel, the source box will change between mono and stereo.

So doing different things depending on the type of input isn't really that hard. The problem I'm having is figuring how or if I can resize the GUI.

I'll definitely work at it though

.
I may very well be in the minority here, but I kinda LIKE the fact that these are two different plugs!

Aside from the metering, the other controls are specific to what is needed for each use, and I think if you have them all on one plug, the GUI will either get kinda cluttered or the software unnecessarily bloated.

Yeah, I understand the concerns with all the clutter in our pugin "toolboxes", but in this case I think I'd prefer two different plugs here.

...Just my $0.02...

Yeah, I would make it so that only the controls for that particular "mode" would show. So if you put it on a mono track, the MonoChannel GUI would be loaded. If you put it on a stereo track, the StereoChannel GUI would be loaded.

I don't know if I'll ever put that into Mono/StereoChannel though. I have a lot of experimenting to do.
