The GUI doesn't bother me-
I mean, in a world of GUi's with spinning tape wheels... This really isn't that bad-!
..
Re the Spectrasonics issue- if this plug has a vowel filter - then I bet these
Could be the same-

If these are not the same and Eric
If you're listening... We would the stylus effects
Racks as a plug.

Thanks

From Eric at Spectrasonics:

"Nope. This is definitely NOT Omnisphere's effects rack."

"Spectrasonics FX were designed by a wide variety of different software developers and specifically tweaked/customized with our team."

That's a pity. I was hoping I could get those Stylus effects ....especially that Flame distortion unit.

Here what he said in full, just to have it right.

" Nope.

This is definitely NOT Omnisphere's effects rack.

There are a few units that are similar to a few that are in Omnisphere, but the Spectrasonics FX were designed by a wide variety of different software developers and specifically tweaked/customized with our team.

Nomad was one of the fine developers we worked with, but there's lots of FX we did in-house and we worked with a lot of other talented developers too.

That said, Nomad does great work and Magma indeed looks like a very nice product."

Best,
Graham

Yes, an important part you left out being...

"Nomad was one of the fine developers we worked with, but there's lots of FX we did in-house and we worked with a lot of other talented developers too.

That said, Nomad does great work and Magma indeed looks like a very nice product."

Probs with Nomad Factory Magma Crashing Logic 9.1.7

They sound good but I have a lot of probs with
1. Crashing Logic 9
W'ont re load Logic Project files if they are plugin heavy particularlyif the project included either BFD and Superior Drummer
2 Crashing Waveburner
I think the present version 1.0.1 is flaky
I have been on to Nomad Factory. They say they cannot simulate my probs

wow, they sound pretty amazing.
i have the chandler little devil comp, and there is a comp in magma that makes u think they tried to emulate the chandler ld comp, but sounds nothing close to chandler. however it sounds amazing on it's own.
i really like this magma

I liked that "little devil looking thing" when i downloaded the demo. So much that I kinda didn't trust my ears for a minute or two. It worked wonderfully on a pingy sounding snare. I just don't want all the other stuff to just get that one sound... Kinda messy to have a whole wrapped up system for one compressor I liked.

Although I know its now common practice, its still bothers me to see a plug that describes itself as "tube" gear.

When it comes to effects it just seems more time effort and resources are put into marketing than development.
