It confused the shite out of me. Without Daniels help I was doomed. I need incredibly specific instructions or I can get in trouble.

Something completely ridiculous is happening to me here and i'm wondering is anyone else experiencing it or how I can stop it. I finally managed to get drumasonic LE installed and loaded it up onto a midi track where I had some drums programmed. The sounds play back without a problem and they do sound excellent however in the mixer window whenever the kick drum is hit only the kick drum faders are visible within the mixer. Then when the snare hits only the snare faders are visible and so on for each component of the kit. This results in the mixer constantly changing while the song is playing and it's impossible to actually 'mix' within drumasonic unless you stop playback and adjust your levels then.
Does anyone know how to stop this from happening?
Cheers, Mark.
Edit - I tried activating the 'all' button at the bottom of the mixer and this makes the mixer become static however i'm only able to access the kick drum channels when I do this, I see no option for scrolling through the rest of the channel faders.

I assumed it is a bug but it certainly is annoying.

Hit the button that looks like the end of a MIDI cable and it stops
I found it odd that I didnt have to register Drumasonic 2 with the Service Center App for Kontakt, its already there??

Yes now that I have it installed I am getting the same thing as soon as you hit a key the graphical starts paging and flicking to something else.

It seems that (on my system) the Damped Room library is huge compared to the Large Room. For some reason it looks like I only have the LE instruments available on the Large Room. Kontakt crashes (PC runs out of RAM) trying to load the Damped room. Also, I only seem to able to mix each instrument individually is there a view that allows you to see a complete mixer including all busses?
Not sure what's normal and what isn't without a manual available.
From what I have been able to hear, it sounds very good though!

... | Got the same as well, with the upgrade from 1.5
But the 'Samples' folder says 5.43 GB,
containing 2 folders - Full 2.12 GB and LE 3.3 GB.
Looks strange to me ...

Because of two reasons: 1) because the "follow MIDI" icon in the upper right corner is enabled. 2) because you have chosen a mapping preset (most likely "drumasonic") on the articulations page, that has one key assigned to multiple instruments/slots. We have set it up like that, because this way, the included sound presets can make use of drumasonic’s great layering feature: with one key, you can trigger up to four different instruments/articulations. Typically, we load synthetic bass drums, or sine sub bass tones into percussion slot 4, and synthetic snare drums, or snare impacts, claps etc. into percussion slot 5. Just try presets like In da club (Snare + Claps), boomasonic, Sounds like a tone (Kick + Synth Kick), etc. Thanks to this fixed “multi mapping” setup, the sound presets can “decide”, whether or not they want to have a sound loaded into these predefined layering slots.
If you want to turn off the default layering, simply delete the key from the unwanted articulation or load another mapping preset. Or, if you do not want drumasonic to toggle the view each time you hit the snare, simply deactivate “follow MIDI”.
BTW, the user manual can now be downloaded from the products page, "documentation".
Best,
Sam

Thanks a lot to Samuel and Daniel Very helpful guys...
A question though. When I unpacked the RAR files 3 were corrupted I continued however and I'm up and running, everything sounds really fantastic but I'm a bit curious about the corrupted files and if I can expect any weirdness because of that... or should I just download the files again?
Excellent sounding kit |

I'm amazed with how this kit has grown up. I expected improvement, but I feel as if the upgrade got me four times the instrument I had before, with a very usable, attractive interface and terrific flexibility. The support that Drumasonic provides also makes this a winner. *Very* nice job, guys! |

I downloaded the demo and after unpacking 6 zip files only the first one opened without error. I assume this is because the first file opens the rest of them which is also probably why it took so long to unzip.
Also, to those having install problems: read the intall instructions file carefully and it will work. I had to read it over a couple of time to absorb it as I don't use Kontakt all that often and was really rusty about the library intall process.

I am however unable to get any grooves to play back sound back thru drumasonic and I'm stumped as to why. I can hear the sounds using the keyboard option inside kontakt player but not playing back in the instrument track or on the groove player page.

we've not heard of this problem before - please write to sam at drumasonic.com and attach a screenshot of the folder structure containing drumasonic and we'll help you to solve this.
By the way, our customer support has an average response time of just a couple of hours (via email). If you want a problem to be solved, just write directly to us, that's much quicker than waiting for us to step through all the forums and randomly finding support requests in the threads.
Thanks,
Sam drumasonic |

Just wanted to give a big to Sam and Daniel. I was having a couple of problems and their tech support has been amazing. Thanks guys!
I've been comparing Drumasonic with BFD/Superior/Addictive and Drum Masters on a project and found that the Drumasonic drums sounded the most natural and the new engine is a huge improvement making it a lot easier to tweak. Some hard work has gone into updating this product and you can definitely hear it. These have become my go to drums...

By the way, we're working on the groove library and expanded it a lot... There will be an update in the next months...
EDIT: If you have a source mapping that is not included in drumasonic, please write to sam at drumasonic.com and we can add it.

Great news on both. Definitely look forward to the expanded library. If you could add lots of high-hat and brush action to your grooves it would be a big plus--something that's hard to find elsewhere.
The Platinum Samples: Real Country Multi-Format MIDI Groove Library and their 3 Artist Series Groove Libraries is what I would use on a regular basis.
Could you confirm that your source mapping would work with these?
If so, I'm your next buyer.
Again, Thanks!!!

hi laser,
the libraries you've got are multi-format libraries and drumasonic is compatible with a lot of different mapping formats, so they work together perfectly.

I've been a power user of Drumasonic 1.5. Today I upgraded to 2.0. Despite owning Slate drums 4.0, Superior, Abbey Road drums, I have to admit that Drumasonic is the most flexible and versatile library. It sounds so pure and true. Anyone looking for a "do it all" glorious sounding library should check Drumasonic 2.0. And I am not in any way affiliated with a company |

you just received an email containing the new groove library. Our web designer is on holidays right now, (and that was hard-earned;-)) as soon as he's back, we'll put an "official" download up for everyone. In the meantime, users who would like to get the groove-library firsthand, should mail to: support (at) drumasonic (dot) com.
best,
Sam (the guy who recorded the groove library;-))
