Hey Bill, how would you compare this to Omni or Alchemy?

To the dev:
Is it for sale again? It doesn't seem to be but I'm on an iPhone so I don't know if it's just not showing up because of this.
Also, if I may ask, why was it released and for sale and then not for sale just a few days later? I'm only asking because if there's something wrong w the software (bugs, compatibility, etc), I'd like to know if its been worked out. Or how it's comin' along, etc. This is of course assuming there's even a software issue.
Again, product looks great! But please let me know as I'd like to be sure the software is ready to go before I buy.
Great work!
Thanks,

hey Scott! Whazzzup?
It pairs up with Omni nicely. One thing I'm always on the hunt for in Omni is mutating, swirling, evolving pads and atmospheres. Of course, Omni does that great, but I have a client that demands huge amounts of ambient, floating, spaced out cues, so I'm bored with Omni for those. The way Steve envisions his "arpeggiator" and envelopes to play with filters and modulation really hits the spot with those types of sounds. Nice movement and evolution over time. Plus, like what I mentioned earlier, it has a very 80's reminicent vibe to me. That was my era so......
As for Alchemy....I wanted SO MUCH to like it. And I've never really warmed up to it. When I bought it a couple of years ago, they had no RTAS plug, so I VST wrapped it. Worst thing I've ever done. Resulted in kernel panics, etc. and a month of chasing my tail. Eventually I got VEP and Camel released an RTAS version so I can host either format, but eh....I still WANT to like it, but rarely reach for it.
Heck, I've been so inspired with the DLC patches I've auditioned that I immediately start writing, and in doing so, I've barely scratched the surface of what it offers. IMO, ALL of Steve's synths are worth the price of admisstion (I think I have all of them), but I've bonded with this one more so than most of the others. Anyway, well worth much more than Steve's asking price. I give it

All I would ask of Steve is for MORE patches on the other synths to line up with the DLC offering. It's got LOTS of patches.
It's hard to put my finger on, (may be the GUI or something.....) but this feels like more of a real VSTi synth than some synth samples played back by a synth looking GUI in Kontakt. If you know what I mean. Sometimes it feels like I'm playing back a sample more than playing a synth. Does that make sense? DLC DOESN'T feel that way to me. It feels organic (in a digital synthy way.....)
As for bugs, none experienced here. I did crash PT once with it open, but I'm having RAM issues - just went from 16 to 32G and my machine is not happy. Will be getting new RAM this week I hope. I've been crashing a couple times a day well before I put in the Dig Love Child.
Get it as soon as Steve gets things rocking again.
Take care,
bp
