Audiffex inValve

A few years ago, we developed DSOund VL-2, an emulation of TLA VI-1 interface. It received positive feedback from many professionals and press:

Dsound VL2 & Knzaudio Midifier

Later the product line was extended, renamed to inValve and DSound was renamed to Audiffex. The effect utilized the DSP accelerator Power|Core by TC Electronic. As the production of PowerCore is discontinued, and there are some musicians and engineers still interested to use the warmer sound produced by the inValve effects, we are releasing the native version of inValve.

- For all customers who purchased VL2 or inValve for PowerCore, the price is just zero. Send a message to support@audiffex.com with subject "inValve Update" from the email address you used ordering the product and you will receive a license to the native version (both Mac and PC).

- For those who are interested to buy inValve now, the price will be just $49 for the whole bundle (originally $250, then $119 just for Preamp).

Audiffex inValve is a set of 3 plug-ins emulating hybrid valve devices. The preamp is almost the same as the original VL2 plug-in, a valve equalizer and compressor are added. Unlike the original VL2, now the plug-ins are available in VST and AU formats, 64 bit versions included. Demo versions are available, too.

More info: Audiffex » inValve - TLAudio Inspired Tube Simulation

Best Regards

Your Audiffex Team

great to see that. the preamp and compressor sounds really good. EQ has strange GUI, not easy to see whaat I do on my 24" LCDs, HP filter with low resolution (no chance to write number manually) not my cup of coffee.
in demo section there is no 64bit AU version of the bundle

Based on the interfaces and the price I was skeptical. But I demoed and bought immediately. When I put the compressor up against the new UAD 1176s I tend to prefer inValve much to my surprise in most cases. I really wasn't expecting that. The EQ seems very good too when you want a coloring-style EQ sort of like the UAD Manley. Both EQ and Comp create a sort of sheen/presence that I haven't been able to get with other "color" plug-ins.

This is not an overt distortion type of saturation. I've been getting best results with the saturation knob set at 20% or less. Also, the GUIs don't give you a lot of visual feedback. There is no visible curve for the EQ and there is no kind of metering at all for the compressor. So you have to use your ears

Documentation ain't so great either. I'm still trying to figure out what the difference is between the regular versions and the "multi" versions, both of which show up in my plug-in list. Hopefully some Audiffex person can enlighten us on this thread. Is there a manual?

I swear he said RTAS was one of the supported formats now, but now I don't see anything about that. I must be smoking something…

Actually he did at first,
but then changed RTAS to VST.

So, it's not about smoking something ...

Hey guys,
sorry for RTAS typo..it is only VST/ AU.. the reason is these plugins are made only to continue of TC Powercore plugins, which were made by us...
- not planning RTAS in close future
-normal and multi... normal plug is stereo, multi is up to 8 channels ( for multichannel effects..5.1 etc)
-manual-- these plugins seemed to us quite simple, so no manual yet.. but we can ofcourse do it

In the next releases of all our plug-ins:

We'll abandon PowerPC and 10.5 support.
This allows us to release everything as VST 32 & 64-bit, RTAS and AU 32 and 64-bit.
This is all completed or almost completed.
We are investigating AAX.

Will there be any upcoming promotional or discount sales for all Audiffex plug-ins? I check your site from time to time hoping to catch one but no luck.
That last one I remember seeing was the 11-11-11 promotion which sent me through the roof after I found out about it nearly two weeks later.

Anyways, keep up the great work.
