I'm interested, but the description above lacks details. Can you explain specifically how the mod(s) improve upon what the stock exp. pedal already does?

You will want to link to the site to get details...

And Ernie Ball doesn't make an expression pedal. They specifically make volume pedals which use logarithmic taper pots. An expression pedal requires a Linear pot to recreate full and controllable travel from min to max.

I was referring to stock exp. pedals other than your modded E.B. which is effectively an exp. pedal after the upgrade. How is it better?

From the website:

We are excited to release our new Expression Mod line for the ultimate expression control. Combined with our specific custom designed pots, now the best feeling and responding volume pedal on the market has a new use and with enough features to allow you to use it how you want.

EX-S This isn’t your dad’s expression pedal. We wanted a pedal that covered a lot of ground without having to make specific models for certain pedal requirements.

1. The EX-S can function with both expression types: Variable resistance (Line 6, Eventide, etc) and voltage divider (Boss, Strymon, Diamond, etc). Simply choose TRS or TS Mode and you are set.

2. The Power Polarity switch allows you to choose if the supply voltage is on the tip or ring for TRS expression outputs, so you won’t have to ever build a specific reversed cable. This switch has no effect in TS mode.

3. Our custom pots are a 10k linear design for optimal control from full minimum to full maximum. With the Bump/Sink control you can Bump the taper up to a reverse audio taper for more precise control at the end of the throw (useful for dialing in longer delay times, whereas you might not want half of your throw wasted in slapback tempos). And with Sink you can get an audio taper for just the opposite (fine control in the slapback range). This works killer with different TRS expression type pedals that might offer extremes in min and max control.

EX-ULT The ULT offers everything it’s little brother does and then some... This model features the Mode toggle for the EB kick-switch. When selected on Switch you can enjoy the ability to plug a mono line into the completely isolated second input and control it with a SPDT switch activated with the side kick-switch. This is great for channel selecting or controlling your amp’s Tremolo or Reverb instead of using the standard clunky switch.

For those who would rather use an expression pedal on two FX, simply flip the toggle to Dual and plug your second pedal’s expression line into the second input. Now when you activate the kick-switch you will select between what pedal has expression control.

UH, I believe you just answered yourself. I didn't advertise it as anything other than an expression pedal, that's what it is. Many people have wanted to have the EB under their foot to control parameters of their effects, but one has never been made that allows for this. No other pedal on the market offers these features that you listed from my site, and there isn't a pedal on the market that comes even close to the solidity, response, feel, and control of the EB. Other expression pedals can cover terrain of being flimsy plastic, not compatible with multiple devices, incompatible pots, have a short shallow throw not giving the user the appropriate control to fine tune their settings. I'm not here to sell you, they sell themselves. I am here to help out those who have been asking for this solution for a long time and make aware that now it is readily available.

The question was rhetorical. The text was copied for the next curious person who, like me, hopes for specifics within this thread.

The mods are a good idea. I wish a volume pedal could serve as an exp. pedal, and vice versa, by flipping a switch. I understand that the pots are different so it may be a challenge, but I still wish for this product. I'd rather not have two pedals on my board when I could have one.

Yeah the only possibility for a dual use is another type of custom pot, which could come in the future, but unfortunately we couldn't fit in all the features of both into one pedal. I just always want my volume pedal to be my volume pedal, so I get expression use is pretty user specific... but for those, they have choices!
