Here is a new Iris patch made with 2 french horn samples (in split mode) I recorded recently in a church - quite amazing what the isolation of spectral zones and narrow bands does to those horns....
That's awesome. I've got to try some brass samples now.
Bought it a couple of days ago and having a great time with it. Its the sort of clever, off the beaten path tool that - regardless of how many people will use it - will never sound the same twice. And its not daunting to learn.
Really comes to life when you start processing your own samples. Well done Izotope.
Feature wish (maybe it's already covered): Time synced tools
It could be somethin like that: A time bar on top of the graphic, which locks onto the tempo of the host. Choose different note types like 1/1, 1/2, 1/4, etc. and the same dotted triplet... etc etc. Then activate a "grid" option for the tools that lets you just mark/paint at the given time grid.

Yes yes yes! I so want this, just imagine the beat synced wobbly modulated goodness.
Once again, phenomenal work, Simon! This subscription has to be the best value I've purchased all year...
Amen, I feel absolutely the same way...it's been Christmas every few days/weeks since subscribing! I have gushed elsewhere but again, Simon's sound design and this particular instrument seem meant to be and truly an inspiration.
Given Iris and Simon/Patchpool are such a fantastic combo, I can't wait to hear it appear in some of his own recorded output ;-)

Thank you thank you thank you thank you - I'm glad you're inspired by my Iris excursions! I have already involved a fair amount of Iris sounds in my current orchestral score actually, played by the sampler-guy sitting in/playing with the orchestra (resampled in Kontakt).
Tried the Demo. Will purchase this. Its pretty nice. Not a versatile synth/sampler as far as I can tell but more like a kind of unique flavor. I expect that it will eventually produce some kind of result that will become a staple like the voice processing sounds of auto-tune. There's gold in them thar hills.
