Works for me using Reaper 4/32 and windows 7/64

OK, couldn't wait for an answer ( and at this price it's really hard to go wrong anyway ). Just tried it on mix buss a/b with the Ampex and although they don't sound the same I really don't hear a huge quality gap. The main difference is that the 102 does the depth/3D thing a little better and is obviously more flexible BUT, unless you have the UAD I don't think there's anything in VST land right now that can beat this guy. I tried all the usual tape sims until I finally settled on UAD and IMO those are still the ones to beat but this comes very close for almost no money ($13.68). Very highly recommended
Now back 2 mixing!

had this issue too in Soanr , and then when i reloaded an isntance it worked ...i also noticed knob scolling issue (sometime it works , somtimes no ...some knobs support scrolling some don't ..strange)

Under than that i just discovered the guyz : impressed by it and the gate !!

The limiter is good also and the meters are great

+1 for the gain

I've tried reloading it, and no go. I'm in Reaper 4.21/64 on a Mac Pro if it helps.

I'm trying out ReelBus and Barricade in Studio One v2 Mac -- everything works fine if I start S1 in 32-bit mode, but in 64-bit the metering doesn't work at all -- for either plug. Tried reloading, still the same.

Definitely buying these (no-brainer) -- I'm sure this will be fixed soon.

FWIW, x64 works alright on Cubase 6.5 - the only bug so far happened when I copied an instance across the mixer using the alt+drag function and the copy would not work (not processing anything), which might be a Cubase bug as it happens with other plugins as well.

Offtopic: I can't believe how good Barricade is. You can beat the shit out of it and it will handle the (inevitable) distortion VERY well. I guess Elephant has a new contender on the "most spankable limiter" category!

Speechless

Put this on the 2 bus for a couple of already completed mixes and all I can say is this thing is great, very impressive
Glad I waited and did not spend my money on the Studer or the MPX.....
Have to go and get my wallet done..

So totally bought! Japanese 7.5 IPS on Drums!!! Play with the spectrum knob and saturate it some. Awesome.

Old and Rusty sounds cool on Piano too. Off to try some buss processing!

I've been waiting for a decent company to do a good master tape emulation. since I stay away from UAD and similar companies, ReelBus totally made my day. The Studer Revox is a tad too dark for most of my needs, but the Professional and Hybrid are great. A big thanks, especially for giving it away for just 10 EUR !
Any plans to add more machines to the plugin?

Tried it. Seems like a really good plugin, and for a cheap price. Got some of the other suspects, but so far im kind of loving totape2 from airwindows. (au only). It really does get the sound fat and kind of creamy, and is as simple as it comes.
Never heard a real tapemachine in progress, but kind of dont need to.
Its only tools, used to enhance stuff.

For me is was a tad quieter, maybe its source dependent.

Really hope he puts a trim knob on a future revision, other than that I have absolutely nothing but praise for this. And this bit actually surprised me, for some tracks this guy actually ended up being chosen over my UAD Studer/Ampex. The sound is beyond reproach and what sim I use on a track comes down to tone. Simply put, WOW!
BTW, this sounds very interesting with Roundtone right after it, won't work every time but when it does it's o so sweet

Same thing on my machine, slightly louder.

You are of course correct! It indeed is source dependent and also depends on how hot you drive the tape. It's probably impossible to do an automatic volume compensation thing perfectly.

Wish we just got a tiny, simply output volume knob too. This way we could fine tune it a bit.

Cheers!

I agree with the need for an output level knob. An input/output link would be nice as well.

Sounds nice

Lol ...was doing a course on computer music and the benefit of daws in 32 bit floating point and the room it gives with pretty no clipping (in usual use) ...and finished by ok ...now our crazy enegineers that we are , we want sat and distortion back so we buy some plugins to do that ...

they were like wtf ?

@ dasoundjunkie : are you still convincing yourself that you didn't spend cash for nothing on the uad version? ...lol kidding ....i'm doing the same with MPX but MPX also have some delays that are unik

I won't lie, there was a brief but intense "are you f.....n kidding me?" moment but the more I play with it the more I realize that it has a unique color all it's own and it actually complements the UAD stuff. For example, it beat out the Studer on drums in an electronica track I'm currently working on. I really enjoy these types of options and will very likely end up buying the Slate when it comes out, the Slate being modeled on a 16trk machine in all likelihood will sound different from my current ones. It really is a testament to the quality of this plug that it can hang with and sometimes spank the big boys, hell I STILL can't believe it's 10 euro, just crazy

I've had a chance to play with this and I'm really impressed. It's easily my favourite VST tape sim and the price is amazing. Another winner, Mr. Breebaart!

Tried the old one, back in the day. Dunno about the newer version - not sure if he changed the code.

It was not really something I'd use all over the place or on the 2bus, but the "idea" of a tape-sim was there if you know what I mean.
